What is tested?
The test loads local bait scripts, checks hidden ad elements and requests known advertising and tracking domains. Each request is listed with its method and result.
Important limits
Browsers cannot directly query your DNS resolver or prove that every tracker on the internet is blocked. Results are a practical benchmark, not a legal or security certification.
Verifiable methodology
The domain benchmark is curated against current public filter intelligence from EasyList, EasyPrivacy and AdGuard DNS, then grouped by service so every signal remains understandable.
Run history and changes
Completed runs stay only in this browser. Compare changes over time without creating an account or uploading diagnostic data.

Test scope and scoring
Adblock Tester is designed for users of browser extensions and DNS-level blockers such as uBlock Origin, AdGuard, Pi-hole, NextDNS and similar tools. It combines script bait checks, cosmetic filter detection and live browser requests to high-signal advertising, analytics, telemetry, attribution and social tracking domains.
The test is intentionally transparent: a blocked request improves the score, an open request lowers it, and every domain is shown by category and service so false positives or network-specific issues can be reviewed.
Frequently asked questions
What does Adblock Tester check?
It checks local ad-script bait files, cosmetic filter bait elements and browser network requests to known advertising, tracking, analytics and telemetry domains.
Are my results uploaded?
No. Results are calculated locally in your browser and are not uploaded to a server.
Can a browser test prove DNS blocking?
No browser page can directly query every configured DNS resolver. Network failures are practical signals, not formal certification.
